Defection: Kayode, Judas Of Oduduwa – Gumi

Popular Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, has described Femi Fani-Kayode as the ‘Judas of Oduduwa’

following his defection from the opposition party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC)

In a Facebook post on Thursday, Gumi wrote:

“I have for long, neglected the rantings of the Judas of Oduduwa attacking me knowing fully well that he is fake and a traitor.

“Time has now caught up with him and thanks to Allah, all his vituperations are cast in the dustbin of merciless history.

“It is him now, one wonders which of the seven circles of hell this duper will settle if he doesn’t repent.”

Recall that the Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation under President Olusegun Obasanjo, berated those fronting for bandits and terrorists in the country. Though he never mentioned names but his rhetorics suggested he was referring to Sheikh Gumi.

On joining APC, Fani-Kayode, however, said that he was moved by Spirit to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, pointing out that he was a founding member of the ruling party.

I will not mention names but when a Salafist terrorist who says he loves Al Qaeda and the Taliban, who says Osama Bin Ladin was a better Muslim than him, who says he is happy when “unbelievers” are killed, who says he will lead Muslims into Christian areas as their “commander” and avenge their deaths and who hates Christians and non-Muslims with a passion continues to occupy a critical and sensitive position in Government even after millions of Nigerians have demanded his removal or resignation you know we are heading for the rocks.

Again when a supposedly respected Islamic cleric who acts as a front and go-between for the foreign Fulani bandits and terrorists, who facilitates the payment of huge ransoms to them and who loves and constantly defends them tells us that if that man is removed from Government we will all “regret it”, we can comfortably conclude that our country is under the power and influence of a bunch of murderous and heartless jihadists.

This is not a democracy. It is the rulership of the Janjaweed. It is the manifestation of an ancient agenda and the fulfilment of an ancient prophecy.

Those that believe that they are the masters and owners of Nigeria and Nigerians do not see our country like a modern-day 21st-century secular state but rather as a conquered territory that is in the process of being transformed into a full-fledged Islamic and Fulanised state in which Christians, non-Muslims, non-Fulanis and moderate Muslims will be rendered useless and worthless and will become willing slaves, pitiful beggars and wretched serfs.

Millions of us would rather die than accept such an arrangement and we will fight to the last man to resist it.

We have nowhere to go and we have nowhere to run. Will will stand our ground, hold the line, build up our defences and guard our space for the sake of future generations.

We are either all equal before God and the law or we will end this godless, unequal and unholy union. We will either build a new Nigeria in which everyone is regarded as a human being with rights and dignity or we will have no Nigeria at all.

We stand at the ramparts and gates in the name and power of the Living God and take a solemn oath that those that seek to destroy and enslave us shall NOT have their way and shall NOT pass.

EndSARS: Lekki residents donate office block to police station

The Lekki Estates Residents and Stakeholders Association (LERSA) has donated an office block to Ajiwe Police Station, Ajah, Lagos, to support policing of the area.

LERSA President, Chief James Emadoye, while inspecting the building on Wednesday preparatory to its inauguration and handing over to the Nigeria Police Force, said the project was 95 per cent completed.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that many police stations and business premises and property were destroyed during the EndSARS protests exactly a year ago.

According to Emadoye, the building, which awaits painting and completion of the restrooms, will be delivered to the Inspector General of Police through the Lagos State Commissioner of Police.

“Members of the association recall the wanton destruction that followed the unfortunate incidence of the protests last year.

“The association almost completed the development of a block of office to accommodate the police, while waiting for government’s full construction of the police station, which was totally destroyed last year.

“The Exco of LERSA approved and released the sum of N8.5 million for the project, which was donated financially and materially by the members.

Police to assist them in the discharge of their duties.

“As at today, we would like to thank God that this project is 95 per cent completed,” he said.

Emadoye noted that the association was committed to continually intervene in all manners, as a responsible organisation with programmes that would affect the lives of citizens in Lekki area.

He commended Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led government over the maintenance of the roads and for the progress made in the construction of the Lekki Regional Road.

“We trust that the government would fulfill its promises by starting the coastal road before the end of its term in office.

“On this anniversary of the EndSARS campaign, we at LERSA pray for a better Lagos devoid of destruction.

“A Lagos of peace and tranquility and a true mega city, which will be home to all and a greater Lekki Peninsula, which shall be the destination for living, tourism and businesses in Nigeria.”

CSP Tajudeen Mustapha, Divisional Police Officer on hand at the project inspection, commended the association’s assistance to the Nigeria Police Force.

He noted that the building would be used and continuously maintained to the very high standard that the association had provided.
